The department of Adult Basic Education offers FREE GED classes in the top 26 counties of the Panhandle through face-to-face instruction or GED online.

To enroll in Amarillo's GED Academy, students must attend all required orientation. During orientation, students will be assessed for correct class placement.

2013 Amarillo GED Academy Orientation: August 27^th-29^th

Students MUST attend this 3-Step Orientation for DAY classes:

Step 1: Tuesday, August 27^th:Attend a 3-hour registration session. Sessions will be held every hour, starting at 9:00 AM with the last session starting at 2:00 PM.

Step 2: Wednesday, August 28^thAttend a 2-hour testing session. Sessions will begin every hour, starting at 9:00 AM with the last session starting at 3:00 PM.

Step 3: Friday, August 30^th
New student advising by appointment only.

You must complete all three steps to be considered for placement in the GED Academy.
