Title I, Part A, State Compensatory Education
Welcome to Title I, Part A - State Compensatory Education

  • Provides supplemental resources to local education agencies to help schools with high concentrations of students from low-income families provide high-quality education which will enable all children to meet the state student performance standards.
  • Title I, Part A supports campuses in implementing either a school-wide program or a targeted assistance program.
  • The goal of State Compensatory Education is to reduce any disparity in performance on assessment instruments administered under Sub-chapter B, Chapter 39, or disparity in the rates of high school completion between students at risk of dropping out of school and all other district students.
