General Educational Development(GED)


The department of Adult Basic Education offers FREE GED classes in the top 26 counties
 of the Panhandle through face-to-face instruction or GED online.

To enroll in GED classes, students must attend a three day orientation.
During orientation, students will be assessed for correct class placement.
Classes are taught in 12-week sessions.

What to bring to an orientation or registration session:

  • A copy of their government-issued photo ID, pencil, pen and paper.

  • If 16 years old, student must bring a copy of court order or probation referral form.

  • If 17 years old, students must bring (from last school attended) a copy of TEA form. If you do not have the TEA withdrawal form download a copy here.
