TALA is a state funded project for ELA and Core Content Area teachers in Grades 6-8.  English and reading teachers will receive literacy strategies, intervention strategies, and a reading assessment to inform instruction.  Core Content Area teachers will receive content literacy strategies for math, science, and social studies.  Teachers will receive a stipend upon completion of the academy.  These academies support HB 2237, Section 4.
