Congratulations to the school districts and campuses in Region 16 which were awarded a 2003 Technology Applications Readiness Grant for Empowering Texas (TARGET). This is an exciting advancement for technology integration in the Panhandle!
This is a three-year grant focusing on increasing 3rd through 5th grade reading skills in Year One, 5th grade math skills in year two, and continuing the work in year three. Classroom sets of handheld computers will be the tool used to achieve this goal. Funding in years two and three
was dependent on the success of year one.
