Aquatic Research Interactive (ARI) is a public distance learning corporation based in East Chicago that broadcasts live, interactive video-teleconferencing programs to grades K-12 classes nationwide. Subjects include math, physics, geometry, biology, history and aquatic sciences. ARI employs a unique and stimulating educational method where divers underwater in specialized SCUBA gear communicate over video-teleconferencing connections with students in remote locations. Additional ARI staff members assist with class instruction above water to further enhance programming. Scheduled, $150 a session.

MPM Passport, the Milwaukee Public Museum’s distance learning program, offers the opportunity to explore natural and cultural history in an exciting new virtual format. Using multimedia and interactive learning technologies, the MPM Passport series offers unique learning experiences that bring our scientists, research and collections to you. Video-conferencing activities range from a facilitated discussion with one of our Museum Educators or highly trained Docents, to an interactive question and answer session with one of the Museum’s curators.
