| This home-based early
childhood developmental model provides migrant parents the skills to enhance
their children's growth and development at home. Since the parent is the
child's first teacher, the more knowledgeable the parent is about child growth
and development, the better opportunity the child has for developing language
and improving his/her intellectual potential.
