AEIS IT is the most comprehensive test data analysis
tool for the Texas Assessment
of
Knowledge and Skills (TAKS),
Reading Proficiency Test in
English (RPTE), and the State developed alternative Assessment (SDAA).
AEIS IT was developed by Texas educators for Texas educators. The
program continues to evolve based upon the collaborative input of
teachers and administrators throughout Texas. The program is updated
yearly based upon users' suggestions and new state guidelines. Because
of its functionality and low cost, the user base continues to grow each
year providing more Texas educators with the data needed to achieve
better results. Using data driven decisions, greater student success can
be reached.
Region 16 Education Service Center provides AEIS-IT software and
software support to contracting districts which enables users to read,
edit, disaggregate and report student performance from TAKS data files
according to chosen performance and/or demographic criteria. AEIS IT
includes graphing displays for aggregates of selected student
performance data. Graphs and reports may be produced for annual reports
and teacher use.
Other modules within AEIS IT are the following:
- SCAN IT – Scan IT is a complete tool kit for scanning,
scoring and analyzing benchmark tests. Using SCAN IT, schools and
districts can give students both TAKS released tests as well as custom
tests created at the campus or district level. The answer sheets are
scanned into the AEIS IT program and scored. Once scored, data
analysis reports can be preinted by teacher or class. District and
campus summary reports and graphs can also be printed for an entire
group or for any demographic sub group selected by the user.
Scanners must be purchased separately.
- Slug IT – Slug IT allows users to bubble or “slug” teacher
header sheets and student answer sheets. Bubbled scan sheets decrease
the amount of time needed to administer and take tests while
increasing the accuracy of the data.
- SDAA – The SDAA module is used to develop reports from the
State Developed Alternative Assessment data.
- RPTE – The RPTE module is used to develop reports from the
Reading Proficiency Tests in English data.
