The mission of the Title I Statewide School Support/Parental Involvement Initiative is to fulfill the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements for statewide school support in collaboration with the Texas Education Agency.

The Title I Statewide School Support/Parental Involvement Initiative, decentralized to Region 16 Education Service Center, is part of the ESEA Title I, Part A Technical Assistance Program. The purpose is to provide Education Service Centers with opportunities for professional development, TEA program updates, and training opportunities. Districts that did not meet Adequate Yearly Progress for the first time are offered support through professional development opportunities. Additionally, the National Title I Distinguished Schools from Texas are selected through this program.
