Texas Education for Homeless Children and Youth
The Texas Education for Homeless Children and Youth (TEHCY) Program leads statewide efforts to ensure students experiencing homelessness have equal access to a quality education under federal laws, including the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. By partnering directly with Texas public schools, charter schools, and education service centers, TEHCY provides the essential leadership, resources, and professional development needed to uphold students' educational rights and support their academic stability. This portal serves as a comprehensive hub for school systems and stakeholders, offering direct access to key program tools, training opportunities, and the statewide liaison directory to help McKinney-Vento eligible students succeed.
