Staff Section/Responsibility Related Fatals - Fall PEIMS - Fix Applied on Friday 1/3/25

 

 

 

 

ISSUE: ASCENDER Programming identified an issue where Staff Section records were not being correctly deleted from the iODS even though the ASCENDER staging tables reflected a delete had successfully been sent. This caused several TEA fatal errors (30090-0007, 30090-0117, and others related to Staff Section data/fatals). 

In collaboration with Keen Logic, the EdFi Alliance, and The Exchange, a fix was written to identify the 'orphaned' Staff Section records and delete them from the iODS/eODS. This fix was implemented for all Region 16 Districts that were identified as potentially having Staff Section orphan records on Friday, January 3rd and it should clear the fatal errors that were being triggered by the invalid Staff Section records. 

 

ACTION REQUIRED: 

 

Complete an extract and send in ASCENDER>District Admin>Options>TSDS-Domains and Entities. To ensure an extract and send completed successfully navigate to TSDS>District Administration>Inquiry>TSDS Level 1 Errors and click the Extract Errors Reprint button to confirm that the date on the last line of the latest extract shows a current date and doesn't show a failed message.  (PLEASE NOTE: The automated extract does not process on the weekend.)

 

Navigate to TSDS>PEIMS:

 

Promote loaded data - Select All LEA Data and select All Categories.  Once the promotion completes ensure there are no errors

Validate Fall PEIMS Submission Data - Select All Categories

View Error report to review fatals/specials/warnings that still exist after the 9.0405 ASCENDER update.

Update any current ASCENDER or TSDS Tickets to resolve them or to let us know the status of the current issues the ticket(s) reference.
