Child Nutrition

The Child Nutrition Service Area at Region 16 is administered through the Texas Department of Agriculture. This service is provided to all participating school districts, private schools, residential child care institutions, day care centers, and adult day care centers throughout the region.  We provide technical assistance and support for program compliance, USDA meal pattern and financial management. Assistance is available through virtual or in-person training sessions, as well as, on-site assistance with child nutrition program personnel and administrators. These nutrition programs exemplify "eating right" for Texans of every age and background and help them build a bridge to success.
