my name is Steven Wong I'm a family engagement liaison at Alief ISD hi my name is Brenda Perez I work Lamar Consolidated ISD Middle School in Spring Branch I am an elementary counselor at Northampton Elementary in Klein ISD and this morning I am here at the Klein multipurpose Center I am here for an all-day session called collaborative conversations okay and we have different schools broke rhinitis that is going to be represented here as well as other districts such as 40 in and a lie to get together to collaborate and kind of share ideas of what we do to get our parents I'm engaged and I'm so excited to learn about all the new things are going on in the other schools in district and can't wait to share those things with you have a great day one of the things that I was really impressed to say the things that I feel like I learned the most was how important this project is of collaboration what are your position news on horrid District employee and where you're an infant in your your job would have you been there one or two years or even maybe your school district is in like the infancy of creating a family engagement process you are here with people who are just beginning and those who have been in this process for many many years that are helping you to to grow in this process has been amazing and I'm so glad I came today what I have learned today here is there are great opportunities and very creative ideas of how to tie V engage I love your family the reason why I came to the lunch meat is because I was really wanted to know what other districts were doing to improve their parent engagement efforts at the campus level in the district level my goal is to help out the families and connect them in our schools a kind act that missing key of involving her parents into their children's education so we get to listen to other districts and find ways we can either Implement change it out that week so I can spend our communities and help our families result from a goal of having success within their own home and making that connection that you in a relationship with the school so I get to hear from a lot of districts a lot of people to do the same thing I do and they can help me out cast of  In The Family Center is recommended for a sister cuz we do I do learn a few things learned about a new ways to create a compact for our parents also just a different programs that some of the other districts have like a 85cc and a lot of the wava. Drake and the campus is all come together and I'm bored with family engagement hi my name is ishah I'm sorry and I'm from a clean eyes day I'm one of them are technical Specialists and this collaborative is so important to me because it literally takes a village to raise a child so we have Fort Bend ISD Klein ISD and Alief ISD does bridging ideas about how we can engage families into the school system and make every student count
