welcome to Head Start my name is Leslie Callahan and I am the director here we are so glad to have each of you partnering with us this year we wanted to answer some questions that continually come up each and every year most of our Head Start classrooms are 3 and 4 year old classroom that are a direct result of hb3 4 year old classes must not be larger according to head start standards than 20 students in our three-year-old full-day classes must not be larger than 17 or 10:30 30 classes have a cap of 15 and are half day for your classes had a cap of 17 two adults in the room at all times which is why we provide enough funding to districts for instructional assistants we know that this year with covet our classes may be smaller but please remember according to the office of Head Start we must have two adults classroom at all times if you decide to combine your three and four year old classroom please give us a call as we know this can be quite confusing we are here to help you and if you have questions please contact barbersalon o r RC coordinator as she will help you through this as always we look forward to working with each of you this year
