Important Notes Regarding Midyear PEIMS:

- Districts that import an external auditor’s file into State Reporting need to make sure to review the PEIMS Import External File Report and review any errors.
- Districts that receive errors regarding any PIC’s 32, 34 and 35 that exist in the external file should contact us as we have a workaround regarding this issue.
- Whether Importing in or Extracting the data, it is important that all districts verify the data for accuracy in State Reporting prior to submitting your Midyear PEIMS files.
- W-2 Forms must be filed/sent either by mail or electronically to the SSA and employees by Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
- 1099-NEC Forms must be sent to the recipients and filed with the IRS by Tuesday, January 31, 2023. This due date is effective whether your district is filing with the IRS by mail or electronically.
- 1099-MISC Forms must be sent to the recipients by Tuesday, January 31, 2023. In very few circumstances, the due date to the recipient may be later, so be sure to check the IRS website to verify. The due date for filing with the IRS by mail is Tuesday, February 28, 2023. If your district is filing with the IRS electronically, the due date is Friday, March 31, 2023.
