9.0405 Update was Installed on Thursday evening, 12/19/24.
Here are highlights to what changed:
ASCENDER Business Highlights:
- A new screen has been added under District Admin > District Information > Fall Finance TSDS Data to edit Budget and Payroll staging table data after Accounting Period 10 is closed. Users can retrieve, edit, and add records while safeguards prevent duplicate entries or unauthorized changes, ensuring data integrity and flexibility for corrections. The result of changes to the new Payroll and Budge screen will assist districts in making data changes that will help correct validation errors.
ASCENDER Student Highlights:
- Corrected TSDS issues related to SA, SE, SR course codes, instructional setting codes, student characteristics, parental permission codes, and staff section records
ASCENDER Other Highlights:
- 9.0405 resolves the following TSDS fatal errors: 20030-0001, 30040-0051, 30060-0022, 40100-0112, 40100-0142, 40110-0010, 40115-0009, 41163-000B, 41163-0011.
TSDS Coordinators:
ASCENDER 9.0405 software update included several fixes related to TSDS (see above list). Before entering any additional ESC 16 ASCENDER tickets or TSDS TIMS Tickets ensure an extract and send has completed successfully and an updated Fall PEIMS promotion and validation has been completed.
Complete an extract and send in ASCENDER>District Admin>Options>TSDS-Domains and Entities. To ensure an extract and send completed successfully navigate to TSDS>District Administration>Inquiry>TSDS Level 1 Errors and click the Extract Errors Reprint button to confirm that the date on the last line of the latest extract shows a current date and doesn't show a failed message. (PLEASE NOTE: The automated extract does not process on the weekend.)
Navigate to TSDS>PEIMS:
- Promote loaded data - Select All LEA Data and select All Categories. Once the promotion completes ensure there are no errors
- Validate Fall PEIMS Submission Data - Select All Categories
- View Error report to review fatals/specials/warnings that still exist after the 9.0405 ASCENDER update.
- Update any current ASCENDER or TSDS Tickets to resolve them or to let us know the status of the current issues the ticket(s) reference.
