Summer PEIMS - Discipline Known Issues/Updates

  • 44425-0057: This is a data issue, however, a delete issue was identified. The Behavior was not being deleted from the DisciplineActionBehavior table. This is expected to be corrected in the 9.0815 software update.
  • 44425-0075: This was a programming issue. The InconsistentCodeOfConduct was being sent via for all Discipline Action codes. This was corrected in the 9.0810 software update installed on 4/17/25.
  • 44425-0077: This is a programming issue. SafeSupportiveSchoolProgramTeamReview is missing from the API and is expected to be corrected in the 9.0815 software update.
  • 44425-000J: This is a data issue and the LEA can update the DisciplineActionLengthDifferenceReason. A one-time SQL to populate the blank DisciplineActionLengthDifferenceReason to 00. Please note:  Review the individual student records that exist for this fatal error and ensure that the difference reason code is correct.  See Troubleshooting Summer PEIMS - Fatal 44425-000J guide below to details.
  • Level 1 409 Conflict Error: StudentDisciplineBehaviorIncidentBehavior is triggering deletes for all records in the staging table. This is expected to be corrected in the 9.0815 software update.
  • DisciplineAction Orphan Records: TCC has identified DisciplineAction orphan records. These records no longer exist in the staging table, but still exist in the iODS. ASCENDER/TCC Programming is working to delete these records from the eODS/iODS.

 

NOTE:  The ASCENDER 9.0815 Update referenced above is scheduled for release/installation on 4/25/25.  Please look for a message about the update on the login screen of ASCENDER.

 

ECDS PK Submission - PK Teacher Requirement Missing (Fatal 30040-0049)

District Administration > Options > TSDS > Domains & Entities Tab > Extract and Send

 

LEAs are receiving Fatal 30040-0049 due to the PK Teacher Requirement missing from the JSON; even though the data is populated in the Credentials tab.  This was corrected in a previous release of ASCENDER 9.0715 but an additional fix was needed to force the correction to extract/send properly to the iODS. The additional fix was applied to on April 16, 2025.

 

ACTION NEEDED BY DISTRICT:

For those TSDS coordinators that are extracting and sending and promoting and validating data for Summer PEIMS and ECDS PK submissions please complete this process to determine if the updates noted corrected the stated fatal errors.  For those that have not yet started promoting and validating for Summer PEIMS please keep this information for your reference.

Troubleshooting Summer PEIMS - Fatal 44425-000J

 

Troubleshooting Level 1 Errors - All Domains - 409 Conflict: Access to the resource item could not be authorized because the 'Student' was not found.

 

 

Summer PEIMS - ASCENDER/TCC Programming Staff is aware and currently investigating the following fatal errors related to No Show students but no date to fix these has been established:

  • 40100-000H: For a Student being reported for PEIMS Submission 3 (Summer) the following must be provided: AsOfStatusLastDayEnrollment.
  • 40100-0052: On the PEIMS Fall snapshot date, if EntryGradeLevel is "EE", "PK", "KG", or "01"-"06", then AsOfStatusLastFridayOctober must be "X"; On the submission date for PEIMS Submission 3 (Summer), if EntryGradeLevel is "EE", "PK", "KG", or "01"-"06", then AsOfStatusLastDayEnrollment must be "X".
  • 40100-0056: On the submission date for PEIMS Submission 3 (Summer), if EntryGradeLevel is "07"-"12", then AsOfStatusLastDayEnrollment must be "H" or "I".
  • 40100-0167: For a particular TX-UNIQUE-STUDENT-ID, there must be one and only one Enrollment (Student School Association).
  • 40110-0190: For each student school association, there must be BasicReportingPeriodAttendance or FlexibleRegularProgramReportingPeriodAttendance data reported with a matching StudentUniqueId and GradeLevel, or this student must be reported with discipline or restraint event data where NonMembershipDisciplineRestraintIndicator is TRUE, or this student must be reported with a StudentCharacteristic of Virtual Student Not In Membership ("21").
