ASCENDER 11.0610 (installed on 2/19/26) and 11.0610 ASCENDER (installed on 2/26/26) included the following changes.
These software releases updated the requirements for the use of special characters and the messaging that the user sees.
For ASCENDER Enterprise (Green ASCENDER) and ALL Portals.
When a user creates/changes/resets their password the following requirements and messaging are now in place. Password changes are not being forced for all users unless the previous conditions apply.
Password Requirements and Message on Screen that will display when a user creates/changes/resets
Between 16 and 46 characters. Must include at least one of each of the following character types:
• Uppercase letters (A–Z)
• Lowercase letters (a–z)
• Numbers (0–9)
• At least one allowed special character
Forbidden special characters: space, !, ?, *, &, ^
Validation Message (user will receive in the event that their password doesn't meet the requirements):
