The intended audience of this information is your TSDS/PEIMS Coordinator at your district. If you are a TSDS contracted district receiving this announcement please know that your IMS TSDS Consultant will be completing the training and work mentioned below and no action is needed unless your Consultant has communicated directly with you.
ASCENDER Ed-Fi Sync Tool - What is it?
The Ed-Fi Sync Tool will replace the Extract and Send and Level 1 Error Functions that are currently in ASCENDER District Administration Application.
The Ed-Fi Sync Tool will be available to staff and districts that have the appropriate roles granted to their account within the MFA dashboard. This will primarily be your TSDS Coordinator.
The primary goal of Ed-Fi Sync is to deliver a faster, cleaner, and more reliable data submission process for districts.

Zoom Training: Tuesday, April 7th from 1:30pm-2:30pm. We will provide a demo and Q/A of the Ed-Fi Sync Tool. Register for the zoom here.
When will it happen?
- Go Live Zoom Meeting (TCC/ASCENDER Staff, ESC 16/IMS Staff, and LEAs) - Monday, April 20th @ 3pm - meet to review timeline and outline duties for enablement. TCC/ASCENDER Staff, ESC 16/IMS Staff, and LEAs will be in attendance for this meeting. The zoom link will be shared at a later time.
- Ed Fi Sync Tool will go live on Tuesday April 21st @ 1pm. This is when the Ed Fi Sync Tool will be turned on for Region 16 ASCENDER districts.
- Open Zoom on Go Live date (Tuesday, April 21st) from 12:30pm-3:30pm - This will be an open time for districts to join with any questions/issues. The zoom link will be shared at a later time.
