Teachers of Tomorrow partners with Region 16

Teachers of Tomorrow and Region 16 Education Service Center Partner to
Expand Certified Teacher Pipeline in the Texas Panhandle
Strategic partnership between Teachers of Tomorrow and Region 16 Education
Service Center aims to expand access to flexible teacher certification pathways,
strengthen district support, and help address certified teacher shortages across the
Region 16 service area.

Teachers of Tomorrow, one of the nation’s largest alternative certification
providers and the leading program in Texas, has partnered with Region 16
Education Service Center to expand access to teacher certification pathways for
aspiring educators and school districts across the Texas Panhandle.

This collaboration is designed to combine Teachers of Tomorrow’s certification
infrastructure and candidate support with Region 16 Education Service Center’s
deep district relationships, regional expertise, and mission of enhancing student
success by providing quality services.

“Serving 60 districts across 26,000 square miles means geography can be a
massive barrier to teacher training,” said Dr. Tanya Larkin, Executive Director of
Region 16 Education Service Center. “This partnership allows us to scale our
efforts, delivering high-quality certification resources to even our most remote
rural campuses in the Panhandle.”

Texas continues to face a growing demand for certified teachers, particularly in
high-need subject areas and rural communities. Through this partnership,
Teachers of Tomorrow and Region 16 ESC will work together to help districts
identify, support, and prepare aspiring educators for certification and classroom
placement.

By aligning local outreach and district engagement with a flexible, accessible
certification pathway, the partnership is intended to help expand the teacher
pipeline while providing candidates with clear guidance, practical support, and
resources throughout the certification process.
