ASCENDER Secure Access Implementation on October 5th, Zoom training on September 29th

All ASCENDER Region 16 Districts will go live on ASA on October 5.

We will provide an ASA training to districts on September 29th from 10:am - 11:30am.  Register for the Zoom Training here.  Please share with all staff that use and support "Green" ASCENDER.

ASCENDER Secure Access, also known as ASA. ASA combines Multi-Factor Authentication, with Single Sign-On, to provide a simpler and more secure way to access ASCENDER applications. Single Sign-On (SSO) allows a user to login one time with a single set of credentials and gain access to multiple applications or systems without needing to login repeatedly. SSO makes logging in easier = MFA makes logging in safer.  Together, they help protect student records, payroll information, financial and PEIMS data.

Key Takeaway: Once implemented across ASCENDER and all ASCENDER Portals, gone will be the days of multiple usernames and passwords for all the applications you access for your daily work. One username and password will get you access to them all!

All ASCENDER Users will complete these steps:

  • Create your ASA account
  • Verify your email
  • Set up your MFA
  • Claim your existing ASCENDER Enterprise account

Please note that the initial implementation of ASA only applies to "Green" ASCENDER.  We will communicate regarding the implementation of ASA with the various ASCENDER Portals at a later date.
