Assessment Precode Extract

HB3 requires that Texas Local Education Agencies (LEAs) report a census block group number for each economically disadvantaged student.

TREx Users (Message directly from TEA TREx Support Team):

TREx version 5.4.1 of the Data Standards was updated on the TEA website Friday, September 1, 2023. On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, a notification email was sent indicating the XSD schema for version 5.4.1 would be available to users no later than Tuesday, September 26, 2023.

Due to unforeseen issues, the XSD schema for version 5.4.1 will not be available to users until Tuesday, October 3, 2023. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this delay.

Until the new data elements are added to TREx, if a student moves to a new LEA, the LEA will still need to provide discipline, threat assessment, and accelerated instruction information to the new LEA. The 2023-2024 TREx version 5.4.1 Data Standards, TREx Training - User Guides, and Video Tutorials are available on the TEA Texas Records Exchange (TREx) website.
