TEA Discipline Training Format Change
- Mary Scott is changing the TEA Student Discipline Data Training. She will be transitioning to an online format through TEALearn. She is projecting this will go live in October. A specific date has not been communicated at this time.
- Mary will be emailing all who have participated in past trainings with updates She will also post information on the student discipline webpage, found here
ISS/OSS 3 Day Limit Reminder
- We are accustomed to this rule for OSS but this will impact your ISS students as well. This guidance was a focal point in 23-24 so let's stay on top of this rule for 24-25. This will not remain a special warning for long.
TREx
- TREx notifications are paused when LEAs start the new school year to allow users additional time to fulfill requests and download records.
- Notification Services will resume on 9/13/24.
PK and KG Commissioners List of Approved Assessments
- TEA has published the 24-25 PK and KG Approved Assessments.
- There are no exemptions given for LEAs that do not use one of the two approved Kindergarten Reading instruments (TX-KEA or MCLASS Texas).
- There are no exemptions given for LEAs that do not administer approved Pre-K instruments.
- The Commissioner's approved list can be found here.
