2026 State Minimum Tables

The 2026 State Minimum tables are now available to import into ASCENDER Next Year Payroll. Please do not import into current year payroll at this time. The instructions and file import can be found on the IMS Business website under Documentation > Payroll/Personnel.

Please review the following information regarding specific details on how to update employees who have begun receiving pay for the 25-26 year:

Because we are only updating the tables in next year payroll at this time, you will need to manually update any employees who have already begun receiving pay in July or August for the 25-26 year and are subject to the state minimum salary. This will need to be done in current year payroll for any employees that have already been copied from next year payroll because we will not copy them from next year payroll again.

In the current year frequency, go to the Payroll > Maintenance > Job Info screen prior to running the August payroll to manually update the State Minimum Salary amount.

To determine the State Minimum Salary amount for the 25-26 year, verify the state step the employee should be on for the 25-26 year. Then, reference the table on the TRS website (linked here) to determine the amount and multiply the amount from the state minimum table  x  the # of Days Employed  x  % Assigned.

We understand that some employees may have already been paid for their new contract in July, but please note that the difference in the state minimum amounts would be minimal.

Please review the following information prior to running your September payroll:

In the instructions provided, we have suggested to import this file and recalculate the state minimum salaries for employees in next year payroll. By doing this, it will ensure that all employees have the correct state minimum salary amounts in next year payroll. When they are copied into current year payroll, the amounts will copy over as well. Also, because the State Minimum table was updated in next year payroll, make sure to copy this table into the current year frequency before running the September payroll.

You must ensure that the 2026 State Minimum tables have been updated in current year payroll and that employees’ State Minimum Salary amounts are updated in their Job Info screen and are correct before running September payroll.

If you have any questions on this process, please submit a ticket via the ESC 16 ASCENDER Help Desk linked here.
