Network Support 
Network Support can include but is not limited to:
    • Installation or reconfiguration of servers, server OS, and server applications
    • Router configuration, support, and real-time monitoring
    • Cisco, Dell, HP, and Apple core network switching equipment management experience
    • Next-Generation firewall configuration and support
    • Workstation/laptop setup, imaging, and updates
    • Wireless installation and configuration
    • Software updates and installation
    • iPads/Chromebooks/Windows tablets installation and configuration
    • Dynamic network mapping
    • End of Life (EoL) management
    • Automated configuration backup and recovery
 
Technology Support Assistance
With Technical Support Assistance, you receive everything above plus Region 16 will send a Technical Support Assistant to your district for a defined number of days, per year, to carry out standard help desk functions.
 
Proactive Network Monitoring
Region 16 will proactively monitor your district's network to identify problems before they happen and assist in troubleshooting once inevitable problems occur. Monitor up to 10 devices, or purchase an all-inclusive option.
 
Internet Content Filtering from Linewize
Keep students on task and in compliance with the Linewize Internet Content Filter. This solution allows districts to set and enforce policies to help ensure student safety when browsing online. Additional components can be purchased:
    • Classwize - A simple-to-use, highly effective dashboard that lets teachers see and shape Internet access in real-time to help students stay focused and avoid digital distractions.
    • Linewize Monitor - Linewize Monitor was designed to keep students safe, maintain compliance within school districts, and protect the privacy of children. Linewize Monitor assesses students' online behavior for risks and alerts those that need to know of any dangerous or high-risk activity.
 
Cybersecurity Services
One of the biggest challenges facing IT today is incorporating reliable and effective cybersecurity services along with the right expertise to ensure end-to-end security. It is important to note that, due to the human element, security risks can never be fully mitigated. Add the legal requirements, and the task at hand can seem daunting. Deploying the full package of Region 16 ESC's Cybersecurity Services will assist districts in preventing data integrity risks, as well as assist in compliance with legal requirements. Combining Cybersecurity Services and Network/Technical Support options creates a seamless network of support for districts. Services can include, but are not limited to,
    • External and internal vulnerability scanning with monthly reporting
    • Assistance with patching and updating at-risk devices and known vulnerabilities
    • Threat/Attack updates and assistance
    • Incident Response Assistance
    • Policy/Procedure template library and customization assistance
    • Annual risk assessment
    • Mitigation planning/roadmapping
    • Cybersecurity policy development and updating
    • Review of third-party resources with recommendations
    • Review of current configurations and recommendations/assistance with best practices
 
Security Awareness Training and Phish Simulations
The most effective foundation for information security is a comprehensive security awareness and education program. Because end users are a district's first line of defense, it is crucial that all end users understand the importance of security awareness. This training is Department of Information Resources (DIR) certified to meet the criteria for the annual security awareness training.
 
Hosted Next-Generation Firewall
Only available for districts taking Region 16 ESC's Internet Access contract.
Hosted Next-Generation Firewall service can provide a district with cutting-edge network security. This service goes beyond the traditional firewalls by adding intrusion detection and prevention (IDS/IPS) and protects the network from advanced threats. This service also allows for a high granularity on the traffic permitted and denied on a district's network.
 
Carbon Black Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
This is a three-year contract.
This contract provides top-notch protection for sensitive data and ensures systems remain secure at all times. Carbon Black EDR is designed to detect and respond to potential threats in real time. We understand that cyber threats are constantly evolving, which is why this contract option pairs well with the Cybersecurity Services contract. Through these contracts, our team of experts will monitor and respond in the event of a cybersecurity event. We will quickly work to resolve any issues, ensuring district systems are up and running as soon as safely possible.
 
Cloud Services Audit
With most districts moving to Google or Office 365 for mail and cloud services, Region 16 ESC will provide a Comprehensive Technology Report for these services. We analyze all aspects of the chosen product to ensure all standards and security best practices are employed. This audit can include, but is not limited to, information and recommendations for:
    • Organizational structure best practices
    • Information security standards and practices
    • Settings for every Google Product
    • Settings for Chrome Device Management
    • Access levels for students and staff
    • Roles, policies, and admin-level settings
    • Account provisioning methods
    • Email security
    • Other aspects of administration
